Project Summary
Hallmark Planning & Development has partnered with Heart of the City Neighborhoods, Inc. and WE ACT to develop a robust public engagement process to identify lead service line replacement priorities. This project aims to create a tool that incorporates an inventory of background conditions and an interactive map so that nontechnical users can map and analyze environmental conditions and identify lead service lines within geography. Using this tool, communities could advocate for a more equitable replacement of lead service lines.
Hallmark collaborates with community groups and educates key stakeholders about lead service lines and their adverse health effects. We lead efforts to prioritize BIPOC residents and workers to participate in a series of public engagement activities for interactive working sessions with key stakeholders, government officials, and community roundtables to maximize equitable participation.
