GObike East Side Trails

As Hallmark’s second major engagement, we proudly partnered with GObike Buffalo on the East Side Trails initiative — a community-driven effort to expand safe, accessible walking and biking connections across Buffalo’s East Side. This project focused on bridging gaps between neighborhoods, parks, transit hubs, and greenspaces through a thoughtful, equitable approach to mobility planning. Hallmark led the development of the Stakeholder Advisory Strategy, ensuring authentic voices from community members and local organizations shaped the vision and direction of the project. We also crafted the Equity and Mobility Engagement Plan, which guided inclusive public outreach and helped center resident priorities in project decision-making. Finally, Hallmark drafted the Equitable Development Technical Plan for GObike, laying out a framework to ensure the trail’s benefits — including access to resources, capacity building, and community ownership — would redound to East Side neighborhoods. Together, these efforts helped advance the East Side Trails Feasibility Study — a critical step toward a more connected, safe, and equitable mobility network for Buffalo. (gobikebuffalo.org)
